Mrs. Amanda Nicks Named Stuart Burns Elementary School Principal

Amanda Nicks has been with Dickson County Schools for nineteen years. She began her career at Sullivan Elementary as a 4th grade teacher. When this became a middle school, she taught for fourteen years at the Discovery School until being named the instructional coach for Oakmont Elementary. For the last three years, she has served as the K-12 Literacy Coordinator for the Dickson County Schools.
Amanda has been married to Patrick Nicks for nineteen years, and they have three children: Ellie, John Carney and Maggie. Mrs. Nicks is a graduate of Dickson County High School. She received a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and a Master of Education in Instructional Leadership from Austin Peay State University.
Mrs. Nicks is excited to join the Stuart-Burns Elementary community and work with the great faculty, staff, and students.
